Politics of Terror: CNN-IBN reports

Two reports telecast by CNN-IBN on the Politics of Terror deserve attention. Videos of these are available at the channel's site. I am providing links to them.

One report, titled "How saffron terror outfits spread agenda of hate", refers to
rabid write-ups that endorse the Bajrang Dal's violent campaign against Christians.

The other, titled "Politics of terror: Parties take poll position", discusses the electoral calculations behind the demand for a ban on the Bajrang Dal.

The best thing about the Internet is that it allows easy and quick transmission of information. The worst thing about it is that charlatans can use the facility to circulate false information, and they do so often behind cover of anonymity. The following material, posted at a Hindutva site and circulated through e-mail by Hindutva propagandists and given wider currency by unsuspecting Netizens, is an example.

There are several major publishing groups in India
Let us see the ownership of different media agencies.

NDTV: A very popular TV news media is funded by Gospels of Charity in Spain. Supports Communism. Recently it has developed a soft corner towards Pakistan because Pakistan President has allowed only this channel to be aired in Pakistan. Indian CEO Prannoy Roy is co-brother of Prakash Karat, General Secretary of the Communist party of India. His wife and Brinda Karat are sisters. India Today which used to be the only national weekly who supported BJP is now bought by NDTV!! Since then the tone has changed drastically and turned into Hindu bashing.

CNN-IBN: This is 100 percent funded by Southern Baptist Church with its branches in all over the world with HQ in US. The Church annually allocates $800 million for promotion of its channel. Its Indian head is Rajdeep Sardesai and his wife Sagarika Ghosh.

Times group list:Times Of India, Mid-Day, Nav-Bharth Times, Stardust , Femina, VijayaTimes, Vijaya Karnataka, Times now (24- hour news channel) and many more.. Times Group is owned by Bennet & Coleman. 'World Christian Council' does 80 percent of the Funding, and an Englishman and an Italian equally share balance 20 percent. The Italian Robertio Mindo is a close relative of Sonia Gandhi.

Star TV: It is run by an Australian, who is supported by St. Peters Pontificial Church Melbourne.

Hindustan Times: Owned by Birla Group, but hands have changed since Shobana Bhartiya took over. Presently it is working in Collobration with Times Group.

The Hindu:English daily, started over 125 years has been recently taken over by Joshua Society, Berne, Switzerland. N.Ram's wife is a Swiss national.

Indian Express: Divided into two groups. The Indian Express and new Indian Express (southern edition). ACTS Christian Ministries have major stake in the Indian Express and latter is still with the Indian counterpart..

Eeenadu: Still to date controlled by an Indian named Ramoji Rao. Ramoji Rao is connected with film industry and owns a huge studio in Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Jyothi: The Muslim party of Hyderabad known as MIM along with a Congress Minister has purchased this Telugu daily very recently.

The Statesman: It is controlled by Communist Party of India.

Kairali TV: It is controlled by Communist party of India (Marxist)

Mathrubhoomi: Leaders of Muslim League and Communist leaders have major investment.

Asian Age and Deccan Chronicle: Is owned by a Saudi Arabian Company with its Chief Editor M.J. Akbar.

Most people see through such crude propaganda and ignore it. A well-meaning Netizen who tried to ascertain the facts arrived at the following findings and circulated them in an e-mail group:

NDTV is a publicly traded company with majority ownership by Prannoy and Radhika Roy. There is no "Gospels of Charity in Spain", the purported "funder" of NDTV. Prannoy Roy is a neo-conservative, which is about as far from being communist or supporting communism that I could imagine. I would be delighted if you could provide me with verifiable information on this ethereal organization, "Gospels of Charity in Spain", and its alleged links to NDTV.

CNN is owned by Time-Warner, a publicly traded company. IBN is an Indian publicly traded company. It's parent company is Network 18, a media group owned 51% by Raghav Bahl. Rajdeep Sardesai is a Saraswat Brahmin and the son of Test cricketer Dilip Sardesai. The Southern Baptists have no connection to CNN-IBN or to Network 18 that I could find. I would be
delighted if you could provide me with verifiable information on this
ethereal connection and/or evidence to the effect that Raghav Bahl,
Rajdeep Sardesai et al are Christians.

Bennett & Coleman (publisher of Times of India) is a publicly traded company majority owned by the Sahu Jain Group. "WORLD CHRISTIAN COUNCIL" has no involvement with it, and neither do the mystery Englishman or the mystery Italian. I would be delighted if you could provide me with verifiable information that the Sahu Jain group is a family of Christians/Catholics and that this "WORLD CHRISTIAN COUNCIL" is in cahoots with them.

Star TV is owned by News Corp, which was founded by Rupert Murdoch. Murdoch is an American citizen, born in Australia to a Presbyterian family, and therefore not a member of Catholic church. I would be delighted if you could provide me with verifiable information that Rupert Murdoch is or ever was a member of "St. Peters Pontificia l Church Melbourne."
Neither the large stakeholders of the Times Group nor the Birla Group
are Christians, as far as I have been able to ascertain. I would be
delighted if you could provide me with verifiable information that the Birlas or the Jains are in fact Christians.

There is no "Joshua Society, Berne, Switzerland." Also, please explain
what the Joshua Society does, and who its office-bearers are. Ownership of The Hindu, as far as I have been able to ascertain, remains with the family of the late Kasturi Ranga Iyengar. I would be delighted if you could provide me with verifiable information that the descendants and controlling heirs of Kasturi Ranga Iyengar are indeed Christians, and
also verifiable information pertaining to the "Joshua Society, Berne, Switzerland."

hahahaha...great job indeed! sir, it seems that you're so much worried about the caste of people. who cares if editors are saraswat brahmins or iyengars. In kerala , a namboodiri -EMS was a fanatic anti-national (communist). see the neo-nazi pinaryi. are these indians? why are these communists so much worried about the castes of diff people??
2 evil fascist groups -missionaries and marxists breed on poverty and casteism, right?

again you're diverting from my questions - why the bias against facts and hindus? is it because of your association with anti-national NHRC, minority commmission etc?

I feel that Indian media is biased against Hindus although I feel the ownership of various news channels explained by that Anonymous blogger is factually incorrect. When congress pressed hard for OBC reservation or provided travel concessions to Haj pilgrims or provided religion based reservation to Christians and Muslims, no news channel branded congress as communal. However any talk in favor of Hindus by BJP is considered communal by all news channels. Let's not forget the fact that BJP by no means is a politically clean party. Every party is interested in making India more and more communal. However news channels are no better. When I analyse, I find that media guys are as corrupt as politicians. If a movie premiere is not associated with lavish alcoholic party, journalists easily comment that the movie is not worth watching. The young generation is becoming very clever. My suggestion is that don't trust either politicians or media guys. Depend on your descretion when judging correctness of information.
